Today, Neotys announced the release of a significant update to NeoLoad, their load and performance testing solution.  The press release describes the most impressive new feature of update 4.1 as the "ability to simulate real-world mobile network conditions making it the first complete mobile performance testing solution."  This release comes on the heels of an enlightening survey  recently released by Ipswitch, wherein 64 percent of online shoppers will only give two attempts before abandoning an online retailer with poor website performance.

A little background on NeoLoad's load-testing solution is given on the company website, which claims that the solution enables you to:

confidently deploy your Internet, intranet or mobile applications whatever architecture they may use, even the newest such as Flex, Silverlight, GWT and Ajax Push.

The NeoLoad team claims that the update provides an industry first: a combination of "WAN emulation and performance testing in a single, integrated solution."  NeoLoad 4.1 is also the first load-testing tool to support Google's open networking protocol, SPDY.  You can check out a detailed feature list, including mobile network emulation, SPDY support, JSON support, and support for HTML5 Server-Sent Events by heading over here.

You can try NeoLoad 4.1 for free  if you're interested.
