JFrog is excited to announce the availability of a new version of the Hudson Artifactory Plugin with new support for Ivy/Ant builds.
The Hudson Artifactory Plugin intercepts the build to capture information about published artifacts, resolved dependencies and the environment data associated with each build. This information is then attached to binaries published to the Artifactory repository manager which gives you:
- Traceability from artifacts to all builds they were part of, including links from any artifact in Artifactory to its related builds in Hudson and vice versa.
- Full reproducible builds with complete environment data and dependencies information.
- Build-oriented artifacts promotion and management, including the ability select dependencies from specific configurations/scopes when managing a build with its dependencies (some features require the Artifactory Pro Power Pack).
- Efficient deployment at the end of a full build to avoid partial deployments when some modules of a multi-module build fail after some modules were already deployed.
The Ivy support in the Artifactory Plugin (released under the Apache2 license) integrates with Ivy builds running in Hudson using the excellent Hudson Ivy Plugin, with the kind help of Timothy Bingaman, the Ivy plugin author.
This completes the coverage of all leading build technologies by the Artifactory Plugin: Gradle, Maven and now Ivy/Ant.
Similar Ivy integration for TeamCity is coming up - stay tuned...
For more information please visit the plugin’s home on Hudson’s Plugin Center and the documentation on the JFrog wiki.
Enjoy, and may all your builds be blue!
