OpenContrail vs. OpenDaylight


For anyone following the open source SDN stories of the past year, you're probably interested to know how the newly released OpenContrail project compares to the OpenDaylight project, which hasn't had a release yet, but it's been getting plenty of press since early this year.

There's a new article up on SDN Central that answers this exact question.  The director of the Linux Foundation, which is the steward of OpenDaylight, says that he doesn't expect there to be a competition, especially since OpenDaylight now plans on taking a look at OpenContrail and seeing what code they can pull into the OpenDaylight project.
