Any techie worth his salt will agree that frameworks make their life easier by allowing for quicker customizations with less code and more focus on logic. As a web developer, you would like a framework that enables you to rapidly develop and deploy applications. When it comes to a web application, there is always more to do than just coding your application. You need to understand the server side architecture and then there will be your application running on a user’s browser which uses JavaScript. We list out five Python frameworks that you might be interested to learn as a web developer. Some of these are the full-stack frameworks, which is not only useful for Python but other languages too.

1. Django:

Django always comes first to mind when we talk about a Python framework because it makes web development ridiculously fast and scalable. The software foundation is established as a non-profit organization and has a lot of senior developers and experts to help you out in case you are stuck. They keep updating the framework to match the latest version of Python. You can get the download and documentation from their own site as open-source software. It supports many database engines and is in use by major web applications like Instagram, also use for playing games like slot.  As a newbie, you can start with this framework as it also makes learning much easier.

2. CherryPy:

Let us make things even easier for you. CherryPy is a minimalist Python web framework. Using it is like dealing with any object-oriented Python program. CherryPy runs on the latest versions of Python, Jython, or on Android. It has been used by companies for almost a decade and 2018 will be another year that companies will be using CherryPy to build their production applications. Some of the features include built-in profiling, a flexible plugin system, and running multiple HTTP servers at once.

3. Web2py:

When we talk about ease of use, web2py definitely comes to mind. No installation, no configuration files, it's portable and can be run off of a USB drive. web2py is based on the MVC framework and uses Python to achieve that. Most of the framework has deprecated support for older versions of Python, however, web2py still supports Python 2.6-2.7. The authentication system supports LDAP which is widely used these days. The support extends to a lot of database engines and it has a built-in ticketing system to manage errors. The last update on web2py was in September 2017 and they will continue to be one of the best and most simple frameworks for a web developer in 2018.

4. TurboGears:

TurboGears always gets better with time. They have launched TurboGears 2 which has improved features and keeps in view the pain areas that most of the frameworks don’t address. It is a single file app and can be run on Python or can even be scaled to a full stack solution. It can be used to develop simple to complex level projects and has real-time, multi-database support and a flexible ORM. The easy documentation and minimal setup make it a desirable framework for use.

5. Pylons:

Pylons offers an online debugger, which makes error tracking very easy. This open source web development framework is supported by a team made up of a lot of experienced developers and they build projects keeping the community needs in mind.

Overall, there is an abundance of frameworks available for you as a web developer. The above five are the ones that are time proven and will definitely continue to be used in the coming years.
