First, Red Hat released CloudForms 4.1, it's open hybrid cloud management tool, which now supports Google Cloud Platform. With CloudForms, users can run hybrid cloud workloads on Google, AWS, or Azure, and with 4.1 they can also manage their software-defined networking (SDN) with Nuage Networks' integrated technology. CloudForms also integrates with Red Hat's recently-acquired Ansible Tower tool for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
Predictive Analytics
Red Hat's Insights tool provides business intelligence across Red Hat containers, virtualization hosts, and OpenStack-based Private Clouds. Several improvements have been added, including:
Risk assessment
Remediation planning
Container workload analysis
Insights action planner
These improvements should help operations teams make calculated judgements on risk levels for different levels of the infrastructure, how to adopt containers, and automatically enact remediation processes.
