It’s that time of year again when I look back on what HighQ has achieved over the year. This year has been one of expansion for the company, as we’ve experienced a lot of growth in all aspects of the business, from building our teams to gaining new clients.
Our growth has been recognised with two awards that position HighQ among the fastest growing technology firms in the UK: the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 award and the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 award. We’re delighted to receive these awards as they recognise the hard work we’ve all put in, not just this year but over the last five.
We’ve expanded our global team from 100 to 150 members, and opened a new office in Frankfurt, Germany, and grown our presence in the United States with several new team members in offices across the country. We’ve added two new data centres, one in the UAE and another in Australia, meaning we can cater to new clients in the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
Speaking of new clients, this year we increased our logos and revenues by 50%. This is an achievement I’m particularly proud of and one which stands us in good stead for next year as we look to expand further.
Our products have grown too (so to speak), as we’ve worked hard to release two important updates to HighQ Collaborate which have vastly improved the platform from both a technical and usability perspective, and have allowed us to differentiate our solutions offerings with the addition of two completely new modules: document automation and large file sharing.
We’ve also recently unveiled a massive overhaul to our publishing and marketing platform with a 15 month project resulting in Publisher 4. I’m anticipating Publisher to be huge in 2015, as our re-imagined platform allows firms to transform their business development efforts, deeply engage their clients and make the most of expertise that already exists within the firm. This new product release further consolidates our commitment to being the go-to legal technology vendor for all client-facing systems.
We had a busy year of events too, travelling around the globe to attend, exhibit and speak at conferences. In February we were at LegalTech New York; in March we exhibited at Think Cloud and Law Tech Futures in London; in April we were at LMA in Orlando and Social Now in Amsterdam; in May we were at Lex Mundi in New York and the Gartner PCC in LA; in August we exhibited at ILTA Nashville; in September we were in Sydney for Janders Dean and at Law 2014 in London.
We rounded off the busy year at ILTA Insights in London and the Gartner Symposium ITxpo in Barcelona. We’re planning our events calendar for 2015 and have already got plenty lined up!
Our 2014 London summer client forum was in June, and this year it was bigger than ever, as we welcomed over 50 law firms to join us at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tower Hill. We’ve started planning for our 2015 London forum already, so look out for your invitations in the next few months. In the meantime we’re hosting a smaller New York forum in early February, to coincide with Legal Tech New York which we’ll be attending again.
2014 really has been an exciting year for us here at HighQ. It’s been a year that has seen us grow substantially as a company, and solidify ourselves as a significant player in the global enterprise software market. I wish to express my thanks to our clients and our great team for your continued support this year. Here’s to carrying on the success in 2015!
