Salesforce Platform ELEVATE workshop events are on a mission to educate the world: and for the first time this November, Elevate comes to the UK.

With recent events in New York, Chicago and Indianapolis, Elevate has reached over 1,000 developers in the last year. This November, Bristol welcomes Elevate to the United Kingdom.

Elevate Bristol is a free one-day, hands-on developer workshop designed to teach both beginner and advanced developers how to build enterprise cloud and cutting edge mobile applications on the Salesforce Platform.

For those new to the Salesforce Platform, our Beginner track will get you up and building cloud apps quickly by introducing you to the basics of the platform with step-by-step hands-on tutorials. You'll be able to create an app with point-and-click development and then see how you go a little further with Apex Code and Visualforce.

More advance developers are encouraged to join Elevate Bristol’s Mobile track.  As well as learning how to use the Salesforce Mobile SDK to develop and test a hybrid mobile app, you'll get hands-on experience with enterprise security, accessing device features, and creating custom REST methods. On top of this, you will also learn about critical mobile enterprise app design patterns to support Mobile Device Management, SSO, and topics such as packaging, distribution through 3rd party app stores.

The Bristol ELEVATE workshop will be led by veteran Salesforce technical guru Peter Chittum @pchittum, with help from Force.com MVP@simongoodyear of Beaufort12, Force.com Advanced Developer, Christopher Alun Lewis@chrisalunlewis, and Certified Salesforce Developer Simon Lawrence@srlawr, both from Desynit.

Come learn how to build declarative apps with security and identity built in, utilise Visualforce and extend apps with Apex while getting the latest tips, tricks, techniques and best practices for building apps in the cloud.

Developing is better in pairs: programmers working in pairs usually produce shorter programs, with better designs and fewer bugs, so invite a friend or colleague to come along so you can collaborate over the exercises. Or you click here to let your Twitter followers know that you're attending Elevate Bristol.

Elevate Bristol will be at Watershed, Wednesday November 6, with breakfast and registration starting at 8:00 am. We are nearly sold-out, but you still have time to book your seat. Register, pack your laptop and join us for this information-packed event that will raise your cloud developer skills to the next level.
