Jonathan Bryce, Executive Director of the OpenStack Foundation, discussed why he believes that OpenStack still has more growing to do under the Big Tent. While OpenStack has faced much criticism about the volume of projects, Bryce stressed that with more projects joining the Big Tent, there are now ample resources to help navigate the landscape.
Bryan Thompson, a senior director of product management at Rackspace, reflected on the past six years of OpenStack development. He took note of some of the more important numbers, like the fact that over half of all Fortune 100 companies use OpenStack, as well as the growth of the global OpenStack community to over 54,000 members and 80 user groups. He also agreed that with the exponential growth OpenStack has seen, deployment challenges still remain and there is more work to be done.
