The OpenStack Foundation’s April 2016 user survey conveyed a strong community interest in server-based networking. Enterprises are growing more interested in how server- based networking can be deployed, and in the survey users showed a high level of interest in SDN/NFV, containers, and bare-metal deployments. This growing interest level can be seen in the biggest datacenters in the world (Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services) which use server-based networking.
