Software Development Anarchy and Open Sauce
Anarchy originates from two Greek words "an" and "archon" and translates into "without leaders". I think our industry can learn a lot from Anarchy

I unfortunately don't have a nation at my disposal, so I cannot implement Anarchy at the state level. However, I have the second best thing, which is a company - And after having worked as an anarchist middle manager for most of my professional career, basically giving my employees as much autonomy as possible, I think the time has come to implement it vertically, through an entire company, as the company's backbone. The argument is quite simple; "Most developers wants to deliver brilliance. Hence, just facilitate for them being able to deliver that which they want to deliver, and then get out of their way."
Besides, my personal political affiliation is pure 100% Anarchy, and I want to prove that Anarchy is a better form of (lack of) governance than representative Democracy. To prove this, realise the best eco systems in the world have no "leaders", they work 100% autonomously, around a common goal. Examples here are ant hills, bee hives, and Dolphins - But I could easily give you thousands of other examples if I wanted to. Facts are that nature is fundamentally anarchistic in nature, it's just that the retarded homo sapiens somehow managed to "forget" that fact some 5,000 years ago ... :/
The need for leaders is a psychiatric disease, artificially inflicted upon us, by psychopaths with selfish goals - And that really explains most of our suffering ...
Of course, some basic premises needs to be established, resulting in mutual benefits, such as that my employees actually delivers that which I expect out of them. But besides from that, all bets are off. Do you want to work from a coffee shop in Bangalore? Awesome, just deliver! Do you want to work only 2 hours per day? Great, just deliver those two hours, and don't expect to be paid for more than 2 hours per day! Do you want to work 120 hours per week? Fantastic, you'll get paid according to how much you do anyways - And the more you do, the more you earn.
Of course, to pull something such as this of, I can't have direct employees myself, because that implies state regulations preventing me from providing autonomy to my employees, so all employees will purely logically have to be contractors and independent consultants. However, as far as I'm aware of myself, there exists no regulations related to independent contractors, allowing me to hire ex-convicts, ex-junkies, homeless people, and whomever I personally feel needs a second chance. Most people having had a safe job for 20+ years are anyways too fat and lazy to be able to deliver that which I expect from people anyways, so why waste time on these guys ...?
In fact, I'm willing to bet a $100 on that if I pulled a homeless (developer) guy off the streets, gave him a chance to deliver, he'd deliver 10x what most others would be willing to do anyways - Simply out of gratitude for being given a second chance!
Why waste time feeding the fat?
My company will for the most part require Angular software developers, at least initially, hopefully also people with some knowledge about Docker and some other minor things - But in general, the idea is to identify that which every other company is currently doing "for political reasons", for then to do the exact opposite! Basically, being different for the sake of being different, where the difference is the value. And when people ask me why? My answer is as follows ...
Because I want to prove you wrong!
Really, I've tried this locally, practically on every single team I have been team leader for now for most of my career, and I can guarantee you it works! And to quote the late Steve Jobs in these regards ...
I'd rather fail while TRYING to make a dent in the universe, than to never try in the first place
Psst, add me on LinkedIn and look far vacancies if you want to work for the Anarchy company. I've got no vacant positions at the moment, but with the Zoo I am currently experiencing, I assume that will not last very long. Besides, do you want to know a secret? Open Sauce IS Anarchy - And Open Source is ipso facto running the world. Bringing the same ideas into the creation of a company, was really just inevitable ... ;)
