It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again, but DevOps World 2021 is quickly approaching! This year’s conference is going back to virtual on September 28-30 and is filled with exciting sessions, speakers, and networking opportunities for every member of the DevOps community.
Last year, we had attendees “show us their world” as they attended (for the first time ever) DevOps World from thousands of locations across the globe. This year, we’re going back to the future (if you’ve seen any of our promotions on social media, you’ll know what I mean!). We’ll be focusing on how we can build the future of software delivery together through security, CI/CD, scalability, and DevOps best practices.
Same as last year, the event being virtual will offer plenty of opportunities for real tangible experiences, whether it’s through watching the keynotes, participating in break-out sessions, networking with other attendees, visiting the virtual sponsor booths, or attending demos. If our calculations are correct, you will find something that will fully match your interests -- wherever in the world you may be. Best of all? It’s all free.
As I mentioned earlier, the theme of DevOps World 2021 is “Building the Future of Software, Together.” In an unprecedented pandemic year, we came together as a community to create life-saving therapies and technologies while also building even more software that has kept us better connected than ever before.
This year, we’re even seeing technology bring us to new frontiers as space missions took flight and fans of the Olympic Games watched sports events through new forms of media. As we look to the future, the minds behind some of the greatest innovations in the past year will keep working, and we’ll continue to build a better and brighter future.
So, what can you expect at DevOps World 2021?
This year, we’re bringing in the big hitters for our keynote presentations! For the first time ever, Steve “The Woz” Wozniak will be joining us for DevOps World to give a featured presentation in addition to our exciting sessions from our CloudBees team.
We’re excited to present:
- Elite Performers — presented by Stephen DeWitt, CEO, CloudBees, and Sacha Labourey, CSO, CloudBees
- LIFE: Software Delivery Edition! — presented by Shawn Ahmed, CMO, CloudBees, Prakash Sethuraman, CISO, CloudBees, and Marisa Shumway, vice president, product marketing, CloudBees.
- Future of Security Working Together — presented by Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, with Hope Lynch, technology strategy director, CloudBees
This year’s DevOps World 2021 is packed with must-see sessions for developers and tech executives alike. With over 100 different sessions and 130 speakers covering a diverse array of DevOps topics like; security, DevSecOps, compliance, diversity, inclusion and belonging, building your career, progressive delivery, automation, value stream management, Kubernetes, cloud, GitOps, open source and Jenkins, measurement and ROI and more, everyone is sure to find a session that they’ll love. The best part of these sessions is that for those who join live, you’ll be able to interact with other attendees and, in many cases, with the speakers as well. But, have no fear if daycare pickup or a mid-day meeting presents a conflict for your favorite session -- you can stream all sessions on-demand. That’s the beauty of virtual events: They cater to your schedule!
DevOps World 2021 is debuting two new tracks –- financial services and public sector –- to focus on the unique challenges and requirements of these industry segments and personnel. A number of enterprises and government agencies will share their DevOps best practices including Capital One, the U.S. Air Force, Carnegie Mellon University, DZ Bank, the Internal Revenue Service and more. The popular leadership track will continue this year, with sessions tailored for executives who are leading DevOps and transformation initiatives. Community tracks and those led by the Continuous Delivery Foundation will also take center stage.
Dozens of leading organizations in the industry will be supporting DevOps World, and most of them will have virtual booths in the Expo Hall. Exhibitors include AWS, Sauce Labs, Snyk, Log DNA, VMWare and many more. Check out the full list of sponsors here.
As we do every year, The DevOps World 2021 Awards will recognize the achievements of DevOps innovators around the globe. The CloudBees Innovation Awards will honor companies that demonstrate quantifiable business value from using CloudBees solutions.
Workshops, Training and/or Certifications
For DevOps World 2021, CloudBees will be hosting a variety of workshops, both complementary and paid-for. This year’s workshops include “Configuration as Code with CloudBees Continuous Integration,” “Flexible Delivery Methodologies with CloudBees Feature Management,” “Contributing to Open Source” and “Securing Jenkins Pipeline with CyberArk Conjur Secrets Manager.” All workshops will be led by expert instructors to give attendees a hands-on experience. By signing up and completing any of the paid workshops, participants will also receive a voucher for one certification exam (a $150 value) along with a link to the Certification Guide. The voucher will expire 14 months after issue.
With all of these exciting sessions, keynotes, workshops, and more, now is the time to register for this year’s DevOps World event! We’re excited to bring everyone back for another year of virtual fun as we come together to build the future of software. To ensure your free spot at DevOps World 2021, register today!
