DZone, which touts itself as providing “smart content for tech professionals,” will occupy 20,000 square feet of space in The Frontier, a campus of buildings operated by the Research Triangle Foundation. The Foundation operates RTP.

The company is the second firm to take space in Building 600, which is being renovated by RTP and is adjacent to The Frontier headquarters.

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development recently became the first organization to commit to space at Building 600.

DZone, which launched in 2005, is making the move after naming Matt Tormollen as its new chief executive officer in April. Tormollen succeeded Rick Ross, who retired in December. Ross retired after DZone raised investment capital from SFW Capital Partners in October of last year.

“DZone is focused on empowering developers to build better products, and empowering companies to create engaging developer communities. Given the mission of The Frontier and the energy of its community, we’ll be ideally situated to mutually benefit from our new location,” Tormollen said about the company’s move.

The company says it supports more than 3.5 million developers a month, featuring such services as AnswerHub.
