Riak is a solid, highly-available, distributed data store, but its querying support leaves more to be desired. Solr is the exemplar in search with a highly-efficient index and myriad useful features. Put these two things together and you get the best of both worlds with little trade-off.

Yokozuna is an extension of Riak that tightly integrates Riak with Solr. Riak stores the data and Solr indexes it. In this talk Ryan will give a tour of Yokozuna: explaining how it works, discuss some challenges faced, show how it can be used, and perhaps compare it to similar solutions. If you are a user of Riak Search or are interested in alternative ways to index Riak data then this talk is for you.
