In her keynote speech at the Fluent 2015 conference, Kathy Sierra lays out how a developer can stay up to speed in this fast-paced world of programming and developing -- essentially, as she titled her speech, how to be a badass.

Before becoming the creator of O'Reilly's Head First book series for developers, she enjoyed a pretty badass career of her own as the lead programmer on 1998's Terratopia game and for the film All Dogs Go to Heaven from MGM. Since then, she's been a master trainer for Sun Microsystems and, in 1998, founded JavaRanch for Java Programmers.
