Learn how to migrate and modernize stateless applications and run them in a Kubernetes cluster.

Red Hat just unveiled their new xPaaS technology at JavaOne and it does everything that JBoss fans have wanted it to do with OpenShift.  Using OpenShift, an open-source PaaS, as the foundation, xPaaS takes the main JBoss middleware offering, JBoss EAP, and sticks it on top of OpenShift in a nice, user-friendly way.

Red Hat plans to continue adding to the xPaaS offering by adding other services on top of OpenShift in the coming year, including BPM, Data Grid, iPaaS (integration platform-as-a-service), and BaaS (mobile back end-as-a-service).  Here's the roadmap pic:

One thing that really interests me is the Fuse Cartridge that they'll be adding in early 2013.  I believe that will essentially make them a direct competitor with MuleSoft's CloudHub in the iPaaS market.
