Looks like the news on the Nokia and the Windows Phone 7 is hot at the moment.
The switch to Windows Phone 7 from the Symbian OS might well be a plus for both Windows Phone 7 as well as Nokia.
Windows Phone 7 was released in October, and in 2011 it has been slowly been gaining momentum (although some people might not agree) .
The Phone is slowly becoming popular with consumers as well as network providers .
I didn't see such things happen with Windows Mobile and earlier versions .
I personally see a lot of people around me using Nokia Phones here in India . The Nokia phones generally have good hardware and definitely might take Windows Phone 7 as well Nokia to the next level . At least a common Mobile user here might be aware of the device.
Another thing that comes to mind is the market perception in which people underestimated the Symbian OS as well as Windows Mobile.
Compared to Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7 has a better ecosystem comprised of the developers , marketplace and the wonderful OS, which can definitely put other Mobile platforms like Android , BlackBerry and Apple iOS under some pressure.
Lets Wait and Watch for the official announcement in the coming weeks
