Perks Of Networking Profile

The basic responsibilities of a networking person would be planning, designing, implementation and support for LAN, WAN, and firewalls in production environments. But it also includes troubleshooting and providing technical support for products in different environments.

The above defines the profile of the networking person with heavy access to servers and physical support with each and every cable around the networking environment, whereas it differs from cloud-based support. Everyone is passionate about building their career in cloud-based technologies as it is comfortable and can be accessed through anywhere around.

So, a network engineer should possess a broad knowledge in order to align to reach the business goals through networking.

Network engineers sit at the heart of the infrastructure and need to understand in-depth analysis of the applications and data flow across the network.

IoT is a big headache to network engineers as they need to size and scale their wired networks in order to hold thousands of IoT sensors, and be ready to provide and set policy for IoT connection and data security.

Network Automation

Redundant tasks like scripting and automation that are related to other parts of the IT department are insulated to network engineers. Basically, network work engineers follow a “set it and forget it” mindset, but this will not continue further for redundancy protocols. For new resources, traffic and push policy networks are enhancing far more organic. The trending new skill is to learn how to hook by scripting with various API’s to automate network processes.
