Good news for all the Windows Phone 7 Developers. Microsoft has recently announced that it has increased the number of free application submissions (for unpaid apps) from 5 to 100, which means developers can create a lot more free Apps in the Marketplace.

Previously, Microsoft allowed the developers to submit up to 5 free applications without paying anything.  After submitting five, there was a fee for it.  This fee is now removed until 100 Apps :)

The submission of paid apps remains free for an unlimited amount of submissions.  Now it's all up to developers to utilize this opportunity and come up with some interesting apps without diminishing the quality of apps in the Marketplace.

Analysts agree that a mix of emulators/simulators and real devices are necessary to optimize your mobile app testing - learn more in this white paper, brought to you in partnership with Sauce Labs.
