Here's how it went: The team gathered with the supposed Scrum Master. The leader asked the typical questions: "What have you gotten done since yesterday," "what are you doing today," "what are your impediments," and then an awkward question: "Do you have any hours to reduce?" The team got the questions out of the way, even the awkward last one, and the meeting was over.
Then, the actual Scrum happened. Once the Scrum Master turned his back on the team, the team huddled together and had their own excited Scrum. So it turns out they did have one major impediment: the Scrum Master himself.
