I started to hear this term SDET — the tester who writes test-code. I’ve been grilled me on interviews that the SDET is the future of the craft, and several of my friends tell me they are learning Python or Ruby, just to get and keep their jobs. The argument is that with advent of the SDET the traditional tester will “go away.” I don’t think so. — At least not completely. And I’ll explain why I feel that way.
