The iOS 7 is the first UI version not vetoed by Steve Jobs, and it shows. Johnny Ive and his eye for minimalism is widely known, but it really looks like he wasn’t able to “see” enough of the details that I believe wouldn’t have passed by Jobs. Moreover, the “details” I see sticking out aren’t the static ones, they are those that interrupt smooth interaction. They can appear as minor details, but as soon as you start to interact with the phone, they add up to the experience that I can compare with the clumsiness so typical for Microsoft Windows but up to now so untypical for Apple.
