Sick of hearing the word thought leader? Don’t think a lot of blue sky ideas you hear are close to reality? Meet Nimble. Nimble is fronted by me: Chris Roberts. Originating from a traditional Project Management background, I adopted all things Agile 6 years ago. In that time I have worked as an Agile Project Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Agile Consultant in a variety of different organisations. To be honest the role titles are irrelevant. What I do is much more important. I use my Agile knowledge, experience of using it in the real world and my love of working with people to help organisations adopt Agile in a way that works for them. I enjoy the challenges moving to an Agile way of working brings. I understand that each organisation is different and so are it’s people. It’s that identity, that individuality each company has that makes it all the more interesting for me! I like to help people understand what Agile is and its core values. I think far too many people over complicate Agile. I like to communicate Agile in a simple way that ensures everyone understands it, so that they can embrace it! Agile is a culture change for Organisations, a change in the mindset of your people. You won’t get buy in from people if you baffle them with complex terms. You’ll arrive at death by bullshit and lose people on what should and can be a fun and exciting journey. My approach is to work with your people and teams to understand how they work at the moment, get to know them, and find out what makes them tick. From this I can then help them identify what tools and techniques can be introduced so that they can form an Agile way of working that’s tailored specifically to them. It won’t be one big leap! There will be challenges and hurdles along the way and anyone tells you otherwise is not being forthcoming with the truth! What we will arrive at however, is delivering products and/or services that have high value early and often, delivering what your users/customers want and maximising your return on investment.
