They are crazy not to build upon VM's which have already had a lot of investment placed into in terms of millions of dollars.

I wouldn't do this in a company for the reason that the employee's have to understand rpm and the deployment process, which costs more money for them to learn. (time = money).

I would get the employee's to use something java based and popular, so when I hire new employee's, its likely they already understand it.

You don't need a proxy in front to get port 80 to your Tomcat, JBoss.

Use iptables port forwarding. There are many articles on how to do this.

Actually there are think tanks working to make cars rendundant.

Politely, yet another computer language means it will disappear into the dustbin of unused language. It would have been better to use an existing language and add features to that language, such as Coffeescript, if you want people to actually use it. Most people won't use this commercially as no-one will support it in future, not enough developers, etc. ,

You could implement most of this language as a Scala DSL, but I'm not sure why to do that since the same ideas could be programmed in Scala in a concise way anyways.

If you understand Maven its really MUCH better compared to ANT, I don't have to download any JAR's, it just happens. There many other reasons. For those people who didn't want to learn integration or induction in math, fine, you don't know what your missing out on. Its the same thing, you can keep living with + and - and forget about the rest as its too hard, it won't hurt you to live like that but your missing out., ,
