Yes, that is a good tutorial. If you are using ASP.NET Core, I would also recommend using the HttpClient class instead of WebRequest.

I hope this helped.

Don't know who "copied-and-pasted," but there was some content missing from this post.

Did you include another assembly (possibly XYZ?) that has another MyDbContext?
Trying to figure out why that message would be appearing.
When you generate the T4 template, it should compile with no problems.

I think it's a tradeoff as you said, but lately, it seems there's more security issues appearing in the news and I wonder about scaling vs. security.
It guess just depends on what is more important to you or your organization.

Mr. Rauschmayer, great article. There should be more of these types of posts about the details of a particular language (especially JavaScript).
I regret missing this Lightning Talk at Codemash this year, but am REALLY glad I went to the People Vs. JavaScript with Scott Walker (@pragma_tech) and Leon Gersing (@rubybuddha).
Consider this session an even more elaborate demonstration of JavaScripts quirkyness. Every one in the session logged into a public JavaScript quiz and Scott and Leon were allowed to move back and forth through the 53 questions and everyone would guess what the answer was, and then there was discussion around it. There were some interesting questions, such as
which the answer was true (Go ahead...type it into JS Console). That was just ONE of the quiz questions. I thought I knew JavaScript until I took this session.
They did say they would be posting a self-running version for individuals to take the quiz.
Scott and Leon, absolutely fantastic session and I applaud you for presenting it in an entertaining and interactive way!
Again, great post Mr. Rauschmayer!
