DevOps Consultant and Mobility Strategist, Independent
I've built apps, managed critical infrastructure, broken a few things, and fixed things before they were broken using those shiny new IT apps. I'm a web developer, desktop support tech, cybersecurity consultant, DevOps advocate, VMware Engineer, and programmer in whatever language gets the job done. I learn fast, adopted Docker before it was cool, promote OpenStack, love Call of Duty, and lived in a 336 sq ft tiny house on 20 acres while being interviewed for a podcast. I can hit a golf ball 280 yards with a 7 iron, am fluent with English but can fake it through conversations in Spanish, Arabic, Russian, German, while learning Japanese. I co-own a farm with my wife while running a horse rescue, I'm a certified athletic trainer, and I've turned down multiple opportunities to work for Facebook, Amazon, and the NSA. My favorite authors are Tim Ferriss and Nassim Taleb... geniuses, and my IQ is 149. Colleagues and associates call me an overachiever, but honestly I'm just bored most of the time. I get things done, I don't complain, and I love to be busy (my wife says I'm always working on something).
