Mulesoft Basic Authentication With HTTPS

mule-ss:http-security-filter is marked as deprecated since Mule 3.1 and recommends to use http:basic-security-filter instead. But the other fun fact is, http:basic-security-filter is part of Mule HTTP transport which is again marked as deprecated starting Mule 3.6 to support new Mule Connector. Don't know what is the current replacement for 3.X but I think until 4, http:basic-security-filter can be used.
