Must See jQuery Animations

Aug 16, 2009 · Nikola Lazarevic

It's cute but "must see"? Really?
Android becoming ever more unmoored from Java

Jul 08, 2009 · Mohamed Shaheen

Voted down for the inaccuracy: the Android virtual machine is NOT based on Apache Harmony. The Android VM was designed and built entirely by the core Android team. The way it works is quite different from existing JVMs (register based vs stack based) and it does not even recognize Java bytecode but its own bytecode called DEX. Android does however use the Apache Harmony implementation of the core java.* packages (java.io, java.net, java.lang, etc.)
Speed-up your java code

May 08, 2009 · Ohad Assulin

javac -O? This flag doesn't even exist anymore. This is a compilation of tips that were true in Java 1.0 and possibly 1.1 but they are hopelessly outdated.
Why Criminal Hackers Will Love Adobe AIR

Mar 14, 2009 · Umberto Zappia

Wow, that's quite a misleading article.
Does Anyone Really Care About Desktop Java?

Jul 18, 2008 · Mr B Loid

Unfortunately I think Bruce is very right. And after all, we don't *have* to use Java for everything. We can make great UIs with other technologies. ,
Build Identity Confidence: Develop and Deploy Secure Identity Management Solutions

>>or TimingFramework/Transitions

TimingFramework works really well as it is now. Sure, more work would be great, but I don't think it *needs* it. Also, it was revived in a different form as part of the SceneGraph project for JavaFX. The SceneGraph contains an animation engine very similar to TimingFramework, but more powerful.

Netbeans THE best ruby on rails IDE

Aug 29, 2007 · Mr B Loid

Nice overview even though he missed some of the most impressive features for a scripting language IDE: refactoring and quick fixes!
What is wrong with Sun's java product management group

Mar 18, 2007 · Five Somewhere

"They are still pushing NetBeans which I find annoying." So what? Both are Sun products and both are free. Why couldn't they promote their own products on their own web site?
The birth of AJAX - an amazing story

Mar 15, 2007 · nitin pai

And animations in web pages have nothing to do with AJAX...
Eclipse can’t beat IDEA for Java development

Mar 08, 2007 · Daniel Spiewak

hchaudh1: Errr... Java :)
A developer's guide to evaluating Eclipse vs. IntelliJ IDEA

Dec 26, 2006 · Daniel Spiewak

There's no point in reading this unless you want IBM to tell you to use Eclipse instead of competitors products :)
Center a Dialog Box, Frame or Window in Java

Oct 23, 2006 · Kevin Long

setLocationRelativeTo(null) always centers on the main screen though. In a dual screen environement it might be annoying it the users launches the application on the second screen: the frame will show up on the first screen.
