Nice explanation. Technology changes every day. IT professional including database administrator needs to advance their knowledge every time. Now cloud computing is also capturing the market and introducing so many new features including Database as a Services called as DBaaS. DBA should need to aware of this cloud computing too. Of course, there are some features available for managing database admin tasks very easily. But it doesn’t mean that DBA role becomes terminated.
As a database administrator, you should be aware of lots of things including new features if you want to stay in the global competitive market.
