Modern organizations are convinced that autonomous empowered teams are one of the core concepts of Agile and key to speed, innovation, and success. 

In this talk, Jimmy explores how to define autonomy in the context of a team. Which are the promised benefits; common challenges, fears, and pains? What new expectations are put onto the team? Furthermore, what does the wider organization and leadership need to do (or change) in order to leverage and unleash the power of autonomy?

Jimmy Janlén is an Agile coach and teacher. He’s a freelance consultant located in Stockholm. In addition to coaching, Jimmy holds courses, writes books and blogs on all things Agile, such as Agile leadership, large-scale Agile, team dynamics, visualization, and facilitation. He also hosts and produces a YouTube channel called "Agile with Jimmy." He sometimes refers to himself as a bureaucracy therapist, cultural acupuncture, cross-company pollinator, and visualization magician. Jimmy is the author of the book Visualization Example and the creator of the Jimmy Cards.
