As can be seen clearly in the above Google Trends, Laravel is surely racing ahead in the list of best PHP Frameworks in 2019 while Codeigniter is also giving some tough competition here. Also, there is an interesting aspect that Symfony and CakePHP are gaining some traction in the list of top PHP Frameworks.

As can be clearly seen from the above table, Laravel Framework, in terms of Github Stars, Laravel is clearly ahead in the list of best PHP Frameworks in 2019, while Symfony and CodeIgniter sit behind with less than half the number of stars (20,683 and 17,251 respectively). Despite how new Laravel is compared to the other frameworks it still has managed to earn far more Github stars.
