Generate a random alpha numeric string whose length is the number of characters specified. Characters will be chosen from the set of alpha-numeric characters. Count is the length of random string to create.

private static final String ALPHA_NUMERIC_STRING = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789";
public static String randomAlphaNumeric(int count) {
StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder();
while (count-- != 0) {
int character = (int)(Math.random()*ALPHA_NUMERIC_STRING.length());
builder.append(ALPHA_NUMERIC_STRING.charAt(character));
}
return builder.toString();
}

From Idea to Application gives you the architecture to quickly build, manage and run a range of applications (web, mobile, big data, new smart devices, etc.) on an open-standard, cloud-based platform. See why developers are using IBM Bluemix. Brought to you in partnership with IBM.
